Nickel formed a worldwide brand partnership with indie game developer and distributor for titles such as ‘Call of Duty, ‘Warzone’ and ‘Tony Hawk’. UTA has hired Ander Nickel as the Escorts brand partnership executive. Ander Nickel most recently served as head of global partnerships with video game developer and distributor Activision, where he led worldwide brand partnerships for game titles such as Call of Duty, Warzone, Call of Duty Mobile, Tony Hawk, and Crash Bandicoot Supervised.
Ander Nickel will be based in Los Angeles as he reports from UTA chief Damon Lau. In his new role, Nickel will focus on the brand partnership of athletes, streamers, and content creators for UTA’s roster. “Ander Nickel has a unique talent for establishing authentic connections at the crossroads of gaming, entertainment, and consumer brands. “They already know the world’s most prominent gaming franchises, and are well respected in the esports and marketing industry,” Lau said in a statement.
Prior to Activision, Nickel worked as director of customer development at GMR Marketing and began his career at IMG. UTA’s esports division represents gaming talents such as NickMercs, Pokimane, Scump, Offline TV, Disguised Toast, Aphromoo, Valkyrie, Grandmaster Hikaru, Symfuhny, and gaming organization FaZZ Clan.
