The rape follows Darnell Strom, who made the leap from CAA to UTA in 2019. UTA has hired Eric Telford from CAA. The CAA has representative jumping agencies after more than six years. In his new role at UTA, Telford will serve in both culture and leadership and speaker divisions.
In the past, she worked with many top artists and social workers, including Barry Jenkins, Jessie Williams, Yara Shahidi, Janet Mock, Dera Macson, Baratunde Thurston, and Kendrick Sampson.
Telford said, “UTA’s innovative approach and commitment to building a platform that enhances the voice of the customer is incredibly inspiring to watch.”
“I am thrilled to join the UTA team and be a part of what they have created and continue to cultivate.”
Telford, which is based in Los Angeles, will work closely with both divisions to help expand customer business and cultural influence at the intersection of entertainment, media, entrepreneurship, politics, arts, and thought leadership.
After graduating from the University of South Carolina with degrees in management and marketing, Telford began her career at CAA in 2014 in the speaker division. Telford now joins Darnell Strom, partner and head of culture and leadership, who moved from CAA to UTA in 2019.
“Eric is a talented agent who not only provides excellent customer service but is an important collaborator with his colleagues,” Strom said. “He will help bring new voices to UTA and help our existing clients build a strong speaking platform for their work, ideas, and ambitions, while also expanding their business and cultural impact. I am thrilled to reconnect with Eric and we are excited to have him at UTA. “
