2021 European Shooting Stars Unveiled

The 10 up and coming European talents for the European Film Promotion 2021 will be presented to the international industry in a three-day online event in February and will attend the Shooting Stars Awards ceremony in Berlin this summer.

The European Shooting Stars unveiled its 2021 roster on Tuesday, an annual list of the top 10 new acting talent coming out of Europe.

They include Albrecht Schüch from Germany, who gained international attention for his performance in System Crasher (2019) and Berlin Alexanderplatz (2020); Irish actor Fionn O’Shea, starring in David Freene’s Dating Amber (2020) and playing a supporting role in the Hulu drama Normal People (2020);

Natasa Stork as a contender for Hungary’s international feature Oscar, preparing to be together for the unknown time period (2020); And Nicholas Maurya, a member of the ensemble cast of Netflix’s French hit Call My Agent! Who made his directorial debut last year with the drama My Best Part, in which he also starred.

Other 2021 European shooting stars include Dutch actor Martizen Lekemeyer (The East, Winter in Wartime); Portuguese artist Alba Baptista, star of Simon Barry’s Warrior Nun (2020); Finnish actress Sidi Harla, who appeared in Obnit’s (2019) Sarvagrassi drama Force and is the first feature lead of director Juho Kuosman in the upcoming Trans-Siberian-Railway-Set Drama Compartment No. 6.;

Lithuanian actress Zigimante Elena Jakstadt, who makes her debut in this year’s Runner from director Andreas Blaszevicius; Sara Klimoska from Northern Macedonia, who stars in Igor Alenssov’s feature film Debut Leena and Vladimir, which will also be released this year; And Gustav Lind, the Swedish actor who dazzled in May al-Tauqi’s Queen of Hearts (2019) with Trine Dyrholm.

The European Film Promotion, the group that hosts the European Shooting Stars program, will present 10 talents to the international film industry, producers, agents, and the international press in a three-day online program 23-25 ​​a week ago.
