Jessie Henderson was previously at HBO Max and made a name for himself, running Paul Feig’s Feigco Entertainment. Movie executive Jessie Henderson joins Apple Studios in its feature division. Jessie Henderson, previously at HBO Max where he titled VP, the execution of the original feature films, will report to Apple Original Films chief Matt Dentler and be based in Los Angeles. He starts next week.
Apple is in the midst of growing its film team and Jessie Henderson’s arrival is at the height of hiring executive Lejo Pet, who recently joined Apple from Paramount Pictures. Jessie Henderson brings with it his extensive development and production experience. Prior to his work at HBO Max, Henderson formed and served as co-president of Figo Entertainment with Paul Fig.
While at Figo, she produced film and television projects, including Spy, A Simple Favour, Someone Great, All-Female Ghostbusters, and Zoe’s Extraordinary Playlist.
His arrival at Apple comes at a challenging time for the studio. The company is coming off an Oscar nomination for its animated film, Wolfwalkers, and is praised for its Dramedy on the Rocks. This summer, Apple is also set to shoot Martin Scorsese Killers of Flower Moon.
