Early Life
Madhuri Dixit was born on 15 May 1967 in Mumbai, Maharastra, India. Her father’s name is Shankar Dixit and her mother’s name is Snehlata Dixit, She belongs to a Marathi Kokanastha Brahmin family. Dixit has two elder sisters and an elder brother.3] From childhood, She was a keen interest in dance and got trained in Kathak for almost eight years, thereafter becoming a professionally trained Kathak dancer.
when she was only nine years old, she has also received a scholarship as a Kathak dancer. She completed her studies at Divine Child High School in Andheri. Besides education, Dixit also participated in extra-curricular activities like dramatics. To become a microbiologist, She took admission at the Sathaye College in Vile Parle (Mumbai) where she studied microbiology as one of her subjects in the Bsc stream. After completing six months she decided to left her studies and become a career in the film industry.
