Multi-Grammy-winning music star and Viacom executive Jessie Acosta announced a comedy about millennials trying to become a social media star at Digital MIPTV.
Another project by multi-Grammy and Latin Grammy award-winning composer Mark Anthony is Viacombs International Studios (VIS), a comedy set in the world of social media.
Like is described as a comedy series about a millennium that does whatever it takes, including lying to gain fame as an online influencer. Marc Anthony and VIS President Jessie Acosta announced the project on Wednesday during a pre-determined main session as part of the digital MIPTV international television market.
The series will feature Marc Anthony’s music and will serve as both executive producer and executive music producer for the polygamy show. Anthony’s Magnus Studio Shingle will produce in association with Latin American production house Lanugo Media and Mundolo Animation Studios.
The second collaboration between Vis and Magnus will be to join the animated kids series Gloria Wants to Know It Join, which follows an alpaca of the city that spends time at their grandfather’s home in the country, and, as a result, about Latin Learns American culture. Both series are part of the first deal between Magnus and the studio, which was announced last November.
“Our continued involvement with Magnus Studios and a talented artist like Mark is a testament to our studio’s commitment to telling compelling, unique stories,” said Acosta.
