Gal Gadot revealed that she had suffered several injuries from playing the character of Wonder Woman and that she needed back surgery after doing the first film.
Now that Wonder Woman 1984 has finally been released, Gal Gadot is opening up about back surgery, which was to result in her filming of the 2017 Wonder Woman. Gadot first stepped into the shoes of superheroine for the 2016 Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and now has the 2017 Justice League and two standalone Wonder Woman films under her belt.
After several delays due to the coronavirus epidemic, Wonder Woman 1984 is now playing in theaters and streaming on HBO Max. The film has premiered to mixed reviews, and although it was initially re-certified on Rotten Tomatoes, it has since lost that status.
Several decades after the founding of Wonder Woman, Diana’s story was taken as the story of Diana in 1984 and follows her mission to take on Maxwell Lord, a frenzied businessman played by Pedro Pascal.
Wonder Woman also introduces Kristen Wiig as the Cheetah in 1984, another villain who must defeat Wonder Woman once again to save the world.
Gadot recently spoke to iHeartRadio about the film’s long-awaited premiere and the injuries she has recovered from playing the role. Gadot explains that she shot Wonder Woman and Justice League in the same year, and gave birth to their daughter Maya after two shoots.
When the team was pressing for Wonder Woman, Gadot had a large hernia in her back and was severely limited in what she could do. She explained, “I could not do the press we did for the whole six weeks. I could only lie down or stand up. So if you go back now and you see all my interviews, I always stand. “
Gadot spent the day of the film’s premiere in the operating room, which he got back. Unfortunately, her injuries did not end, as she stated that she filmed Wonder Woman 1984 on her neck and her shoulder. She kept saying, “It is what it is.” It is such a physical role, as physicality is another character that I have to play. But it has its toll. ”
Although Gadot has military experience, she feels that it was actually his twelve-year dance background that helped him fight stunts and choreography. While Gadot does many of his own stunts, she has a stunt double for more challenging moments that he has publicly praised. Gadot can next be seen as Wonder Woman in Jack Snyder’s Justice League, which will premiere on HBO Max in March 2021 as a four-part minaret.
Gadot is already considered a prolific Wonder Woman, and his real-life superhero grandeur increases only after he learns about the injuries she has suffered due to the role.
It is incredibly accurate how she reveals that physicality is another character for her, as actors typically spend 6+ months training for these superhero roles.
Although fans are eagerly waiting for the news of Wonder Woman 3, Wonder Woman’s performance in Wonder Woman in 1984 confirms that she has definitely earned her status as a superhero.
